Portable TV analyzer
(Satellite meter) VAROS 109
The new VAROS 109 is not just in terms of features and user-friendliness the measure of all things–even with the solution of different technical challenges and the commissioning of modern satellite systems, this device is without a doubt a developmental milestone and a professional helper.
No matter how complex the failure analysis in a satellite system, which does not meet the standard designed…the VAROS 109 is in any case a fully loadable, modern and safe device that every service technician on site can rely on unrestricted.
A SAT test receiver that can really do everything: The VAROS 109 is designed for quick installation and targeted troubleshooting in classic multiswitch UNICABLE or JESS networks.
The Noise Margin Measurement (NM) helps the technician optimally align satellite mirrors and set the maximum signal reserve. The packet error counter (PE) detects unrepaired data blocks. This measurement is the only sure proof of error.
The device is equipped as standard with an MPEG 4 decoder for displaying SD and HD pictures. Via the DVI interface, an external screen can be supplied with digital signals.
The SCAN function uses an extensive list of satellite positions pre-stored in the device. The clear display, especially for rarely used orbital positions, reduces time-consuming searching.
Small and sturdy
At just 1.5 kg, the VAROS 109 is a real lightweight, despite its sturdy metal housing. With carrying strap and protective bag, the VAROS 109 is equipped for all uses: whether on the roof in wind and weather or in all sorts of nets.
A true handheld device and still a fully-fledged measurement receiver.
The perfect tool
Two assistance systems for setting up SAT bowls and for evaluating the signal at the antenna socket support and guide the technician in detail through common measuring tasks. Both modes can be selected directly after turning on the meter.
It has never been so easy to set up a satellite dish or to check the signal quality!
UNICABLE and JESS
Subscriber controlled single cable systems (Unicable / JESS) are often used in the housing industry. The VAROS 109 has everything on board.
The spectrum display shows 2 active UNICABLE terminals.
Programmable functions for addressable outlets
A highlight of the VAROS 109 is the possibility to program addressable antenna outlets.
In the figure, user bands 1 and 2 of 32 possible UBs are active in a JESS distribution. The VAROS 106 and the AMA 310 also have this feature.
Very comfortable
Read UNICABE frequencies: The technical progress dissolves many previous standards. With the VAROS 109 you can read out the user band frequencies from a matrix and transfer them to 8 internal memory banks.
Storage space
The protective case of the VAROS 109 has plenty of accessories: measuring cable, external power supply, USB stick—and of course the VAROS 109 in the protective bag with carrying strap (The bag is available as an accessory and is not part of the scope of delivery).
